Team Toxins ended their second semester of data collection with in vitro cell viability data for Thymus vulgaris, tenofovir, and Thymus vulgaris and tenofovir together! We will finish collecting data over this summer and fall!

Team Toxins presented a poster at UMD's Undergraduate Research Day! Thank you to Maddie, Niv, Sofia, and Eesha for presenting!

Team Toxins finished the their first semester of data collection and obtained data for Thymus vulgaris's antioxidant capacity! Thank you to Dr. Lucy Yu and all the members of her lab for their help! 

Team Toxins presented at the Fall 2024 Do Good Showcase, winning both the audience choice award and the overall judged award! Thank you to our presenters, Cameron and Graham, our slide-clicker Eesha, and the rest of the team for their hard work on the presentation.

Team Toxins started collaboration with Dr. Lucy Yu's Nutrition & Food Science lab at UMD to continue their extraction and antioxidant capability experiments! 

Team Toxins conducted their first experiments in Dr. Zhang's lab! This included extraction of antioxidants from Thymus vulgaris samples and assessment of the extracts' antioxidant capability.

Team Toxins had their first meeting of the fall semester! We will be finalizing our methology and heading into the lab to perform preliminary experiments in September and October.

Team Toxins visited Dr. Zhang's lab in the Department of Veterinary Medicine for the first time to get training for lab work!
